Ronin is a film about a group of former intelligence agents who are hired as private contractors. They are hired by an unknown group who are fronted by a woman called simply "Deidre".

As the film develops, each member of the team's history is explored, their morality and their attempts to reconcile past acts under the guise of Goverment Agents.

Each member of the team has his own speciality. Spence, (Sean Bean) is a weapons expert, other members of the group are drivers, electronics wizards and expert organisers.

They soon begin to realise that they are in a dangerous situation, and that the real purpose of the operation in which they are involved, isn't just the location of a mystery briefcase. It becomes apparent that the purpose of the operation is to kill them because they know too much.
