| Based on Black Beauty,
Anna Sewell's much loved childrens classic. This
re-telling is literally from the horses mouth, as the
story is narrated by Black Beauty himself The film commences with a retired contented "Beauty", secure and safe in a lush pasture. However as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that a horses lot can be a harsh one, and that "good people make good places" Sean is in the opening segment of this film as Farmer Grey. He is the owner of Beauty's mother, and helps her to give birth to her foal. Farmer Grey is also instrumental in giving Black Beauty his first training, the first feel of the halter, and the dreaded cold metal of that first bit. Farmer Grey also helps Beauty to realise that horse and rider together can be "simply glorious". |
