series. Alex is a cynical, sarcastic, and cunning property dealer who has been imprisoned, along with his two "partners in crime", in an experimental Open Prison. Alex and his accomplices have been imprisoned for two years for Fraud, relating to a Spanish Property deal. Many smaller investors lost all their money when the Spanish property market collapsed, as did, apparently the three business partners. When one of Alex's "partners" is murdered in Alex's room, Chief Inspector Morse is called in to investigate, and Alex is a prime suspect, until an attempt is made on his life too. |
